Story Introduction
During 1933-1945, Germany was under the control of Adolf Hitler. He was the dictator of the country, under the Nazi Party (NSDAP). Under the rule of Hitler, Germany was a fascist totalitarianism. This means that the government controlled most of the aspects of life. They controlled the labour system, factory-industrial processes, and ever recreation industries.
The labour system was called the Reich Labour Service. This gave jobs to the population, lowering the unemployment rate of the country. This greatly helped the people of Germany, because they had just been through the Great Depression. But, because of Adolf Hitler, the German people we able to work again. Another thing that Hitler serviced was the Beauty of Labour. This system allowed old, broken-down factories to be rebuilt and resurrected. By building more safety precautions, the productivity was increased and the number of deaths decreased. Hitler also implemented the Strength Through Joy. This allowed for all citizens, poor or normal, to exercise all the recreational activities that the middle class was able to have, for a lesser or even free cost. This promoted positivity in the dark depression that was precursing to the Nazi rule. These systems, which now may be called propaganda now, motivated the German people to vote and support the Nazi Party. And with their Führer, Adolf Hitler, the German people believed they had a big father protecting them day in and day out.
